POLICIES

FOOD & DRINKS
*Please keep the library clean!
All food, drinks, and gum are not allowed in the library. All items need to be finished before entering the library or sealed and put away in a backpack. No food or drinks are permitted near the computers. Students will initially receive a warning with a loss of library privileges of up to two weeks. Repeated violations of this rule will result in a referral.
ID CARDS
*Please see the Student/Parent Handbook.
ID cards are required to check out library books, textbooks, and equipment or view account information. Digital ID cards are available via the 5-Start Student app or high5.id. Printed ID cards can be purchased in the Administration Office.


Library Book & Textbook Information

Renewals
Most library materials can be renewed. However, if another student has requested an item you have checked out, you will not be able to renew it. Please return or renew borrowed items on or before the due date.
Notifications
Email notifications are sent daily/weekly to MUSD student email accounts as a reminder to renew library materials before they are due or return late library materials and textbooks. Please check your student email regularly!
Overdue Items
Once an item is overdue, an email notification will be auto-generated through Destiny Library Manager. Borrowing privileges will be suspended until the overdue items are returned.

Materials Selection Policy
Selection of instructional materials shall be in conformity with provisions of the Education Code, Administrative Code, Title 5, and procedures and directives of the State Department of Education.

Complaints Procedure
The school board of Manteca Unified School District has delegated the responsibility for selection and evaluation of instructional/library materials to the curriculum committee/library media teacher and has established reconsideration procedures to address concerns about those resources.
